TED KINCAID PHOTOGRAPHY @ LAX
If flying in or out of LAX (Los Angeles' Airport) May 31-August 31, 2010 -you will have the opportunity to see an installation of Ted Kincaid's newest 'Cloud' suite of photographs, as part of 'Altimetry', a group exhibition currently on display organized by the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs and curated by Mark Steven Greenfield, Director of the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery.
Greenfield states about the exhibition:
"As adults, the sky may have taken on the role of a private repository for our daydreams or other casual musings. The artists in 'Altimetry' have developed a special relationship with atmospheres and see that which they envelop as virtually inconsequential. In the context of air travel, it is my hope that their interpretations might challenge us to pause long enough to appreciate where we've been, or perhaps more importantly, where we are going."
