DOUGLAS CARTMEL IN THE NEWS
Douglas Leon Cartmel's current exhibition SUPER NATURE featured this week in Glasstire, Dallas Morning News, and D Magazine.
For those of us living in landlocked Dallas, rising temperatures seem to bring on an annual longing -- for the sea. As if to announce that the Dallas Museum of Art doesn't have a monopoly on pining for the ocean with its "Coastlines" exhibition, Marty Walker Gallery brings us Douglas Leon Cartmel's "Super Nature." -- Michael Granberry, Dallas Morning News
The result is a mesmerizing black-and-white picture that is impossible to take your eyes off. Bonus: look for Cartmel's works in the "Coastlines" exhibition currently at the Dallas Museum of Art. --D Magazine
