DOUGLAS CARTMEL + DALLAS ARCHITECTURE FORUM

Dallas Architecture Forum :: Third Annual 365 Modern Home Reception Series :: Wednesday, 21 April 2010 :: Lode House

Designed in 2007 by James Ferrara, Lode House is a response to the client’s request for simple, modern living spaces. The residence’s inspiration is drawn from the client’s annual travel to Italy and a residency at Villa Saraceno, a World Heritage Site, designed by Andrea Palladio ca. 1545 in the Province of Vicenza.

Within the thoughtfully designed space of Lode House is an impressive contemporary art collection, including work by Brookly/Puerto Rico artist José Lerma and Dallas artist Douglas Leon Cartmel -whose work can also be seen at The Dallas Museum of Art's current exhibition 'Coastlines', and in an upcoming solo exhibition at Marty Walker Gallery.

A limited number of tickets remain for purchase for the reception. The residences have been designed and/or renovated by leading local and national architects, landscape architects and interior designers. Receptions are from 6 to 8 pm on the indicated evening. Events include a light cocktail reception, brief remarks by the design team, and valet parking. Due to limited availability, please contact the Forum at director@dallasarchitectureforum.org if you would like to receive more information or would like to purchase tickets.
