In a group exhibition drawing on themes of the text-based conceptual art movement begun in the late 1960's, 'Word' at William Shearburn Gallery in St. Louis, Missouri, opens tonight, Friday 25, 6-8pm, and features work by Marty Walker Gallery artist Archie Scott Gobber, alongside Ed Ruscha, Bruce Nauman, Joseph Havel, Jenny Holzer, Mel Bochner, Whiting Tennis, Suzanne McClelland, Matt Mullican, Glenn Ligon, David Buckingham, Graham Dolphin, Reuben Lorch-Miller, Craig Norton, Ligorano/Reese, John Tinker, and Toadhouse.
